1891 (Jun 28) Envelope from Gubulawayo to Cape Town bearing Bechuanaland 1888 6d tied by a fair strike of the “GUBULAWAYO” cds, on reverse, Mafeking (14.7) and arrival (30.7) datestamps; pen notation on reverse noting that the letter was from Robert Vasasseur, a grandson of Robert Moffat.

1894 (Jan 15) Envelope from Bulawayo to London, marked “On Active Service no stamps procurable”, showing “GUBULAWAYO” cds with “6D” tax handstamp below and showing, on reverse, Palapye (20.1), Vryburg (29.1) and London (19.2) c.d.s.; the envelope with some faults though an unusual item from the Matabele Rebellion
